Transportation
Worry free about your transportation if you book into the official hotel from Rotary International Convention. RI arranges shuttle bus To/From your hotels and convention venue; IMPACT Exhibition Center which is situated on the outskirts of Bangkok.

From Airport to Your Hotel

Getting to Bangkok City usually starts at the Suvarnabhumi Airport which is located 30 km. (19 miles) to the east of Bangkok.  For fellow Rotarians, we’ll arrange RI Information Counter with our staffs to welcome and provide you a proper information and way of how to get into the city and your hotel.  (Will provide you a direction of how to find our counter later)

Airport Transfer Service
For your convenience, our tour operator, Sea Tours/World Travel Service also provide Airport Transfer Service. You may download Airport Transfer Order Form here or contact our tour operator at tours@rotaryconvention2012.com
(This Airport Transfer booking is now closed)

Generally, there are plenty of ways to get into the city from the airport. Most people opt for the Taxis which are also reasonable price. When not alone, taking a meter taxi will cost you around 250 – 400 Baht. Limousine cars are more spacious and of course higher price.
Our selected website covering the initial information of how to get into the city is listed below

Getting Around Bangkok
bts bangkok
Though, we manage the entire needs about your transportation during the convention, we have also concluded below some more useful information and websites about traveling around Bangkok.

To get around Bangkok, we suggest you to use the Skytrain (BTS) and the underground (MRT) rail systems are the best way and most reliable. They connect the main shopping, taxientertainment and business areas of the city, while river taxis and express boats can be used to explore many historic sites and attractions at the riverside. Taxi’s price is reasonable and they appear on virtually every corner at almost any time. Tuk-tuks, once a big Bangkok attraction, are slowly disappearing in favour of more comfortable transport, but are still worth a ride at least once.

Due to the traffic during peak hour in Bangkok, we don’t recommend you to take a public bus although it gives you a ringside seat to experience and observe the locals and the city.
